Add-ons and entitlements
Toggle Projects, Expenses, and Flux per client, plus the metered network add-ons and per-client limits.
Entitlements decide what each client can actually see and do. They are set per client on their Billing & Entitlements screen, independently of which billing shape that client is on.
The three module toggles#
Each client can have any combination of these paid add-ons turned on:
| Module | What it gives the client |
|---|---|
| Projects | The Projects module |
| Expenses | The Expenses module |
| Flux | The client’s Network features, plus eligibility for your Commissions tracking |
Flux is the one worth understanding properly. Turning it on does two separate things: it unlocks the Network module for that client, and it makes that client’s services eligible for your agency’s Commissions tracking. So Flux is not only a client-facing feature; it is also what brings a client into the workspace where you validate the commissions you are owed.
See Enabling Flux for what changes on the client’s side.
The two metered network add-ons#
Once Flux is on, two further add-ons become available. Unlike the module toggles, these are usage-metered: what they cost depends on how many circuits are involved.
| Add-on | Applies to | How it is charged |
|---|---|---|
| Telemetry | Monitored circuits | A per-circuit rate |
| Bandwidth-on-Demand | Auto-Flux managed circuits | A per-circuit rate plus a flat monthly platform fee |
The current rates are shown in the product on the client’s Billing & Entitlements screen. Each add-on is toggled on individually per client; enabling Flux does not enable either of them.
Per-client limits#
Every client also has two configurable limits on the same screen:
- Maximum user count.
- Monthly invoice-parsing quota.
Both can be raised, lowered, or set to unlimited per client. Defaults apply until you change them.
Limits matter more often than people expect, because hitting one looks like a broken feature rather than a cap. A client at their user-count limit cannot accept a new invitation, for example, which usually surfaces as a complaint about invites rather than about limits. See Registrations.
When a client says a feature is missing#
Work through it in this order on the client’s Billing & Entitlements screen:
- Check the module toggles. If Projects, Expenses, or Flux is off, that is the answer. Turn it on there.
- If it is a network add-on (Telemetry or Bandwidth-on-Demand), that is a separate toggle, available only once Flux is on.
- If neither explains it, confirm the client is not hitting a limit. Maximum users and the monthly invoice-parse quota are both visible and adjustable on the same screen.
The full version of this walkthrough is at A client is missing a feature.
Common questions#
Does enabling Flux automatically enable Telemetry and Bandwidth-on-Demand too? No. Flux unlocks the Network module itself. Telemetry and Bandwidth-on-Demand are separate metered add-ons you turn on individually per client, each with its own per-circuit rate.
