What happens when you win a deal
Winning a deal converts it into a client organization, a project, and seeded services automatically.
The conversion#
When you move a deal to a won stage, Modero automatically:
- Turns it into a client organization, if one does not already exist for that deal.
- Creates a Project.
- Seeds Services from the deal.
You choose whether the seeded services land in a brand new project or attach to an existing one.
The point of this is that you do not have to manually re-enter anything the deal already captured. Everything you recorded during the sale carries forward into the client’s workspace.
What an approved quote adds#
If the deal has an approved quote, the quote’s line items become inventory: services and locations that the client’s team can pick up right away.
After the conversion#
The new client organization behaves like any other organization under your agency. Its plan, add-ons, entitlements, users, and billing are all managed from the Partner Hub: see Managing organizations.
Common questions#
What happens to a deal after we win it? It automatically converts into a client organization (if new) plus a Project with seeded Services. You do not have to manually re-enter anything the deal already captured.
