Inviting a client

Bring a client organization onto your instance with no payment step at signup.

Inviting a client is the fastest way to bring one on, because there is no payment step at signup. You get the organization standing up immediately and decide how it is billed later.

Sending the invite#

  1. Go to Partner Hub > Organizations and use Invite Client.
  2. Fill in the client’s details.
  3. Modero provisions the organization immediately, attributed to your agency, with Flux (network) enabled and marked complimentary. Stripe never sees this client, so there is no billing friction while you get them set up.
  4. The client’s first contact gets an org-admin invitation email with an accept link. The dialog also gives you a copyable link if you would rather send it yourself.
  5. Decide whether to leave “Include click-wrap approval” on, and finish the invite.

You can adjust the client’s modules and billing later from their org’s Billing and Entitlements screen. See Add-ons and entitlements and Billing your clients.

The click-wrap toggle#

“Include click-wrap approval” is set per invite. Leave it on when you want the client to accept an in-platform legal agreement as part of accepting their invitation. Turn it off when the contract is being handled outside the platform, for example a paper agreement that is already signed.

Re-inviting the same email#

Re-inviting the same email address while an invite is still outstanding just refreshes it and returns the same link. It never creates a duplicate organization, so it is safe to re-send when a client says the email did not arrive.

If the client still cannot get in, see A client cannot accept their invite.

Common questions#

Do I have to require a client to accept a click-wrap agreement when I invite them? No. The “Include click-wrap approval” toggle is per invite. Turn it off if the contract is handled outside the platform.
