Data validation and duplicates
Data-quality checks across client records, and merging duplicate locations and services.
Two sets of tools keep your clients’ records clean: Data Validation for incomplete or inconsistent data, and the duplicate finders for records that exist more than once.
Why it matters#
Incomplete or inconsistent client data causes problems downstream rather than where it was entered. Billing and commission matching both read these records, so a location recorded twice or a service missing a field tends to surface later as a mismatch that is harder to diagnose than it would have been to prevent. Cleaning it up here is the cheaper end of that trade.
See Commissions reconciliation for where matching happens.
Data Validation#
Partner Hub > Data Validation runs data-quality checks across your clients’ records and lets you export the results. Use the export to work through issues in bulk, or to hand a list to whoever owns the underlying records.
Location Duplicates and Service Duplicates#
Partner Hub > Location Duplicates and Service Duplicates surface likely-duplicate location and service records across your clients so you can review and merge them. Merging keeps your data clean for reporting and commission matching.
