Network and Flux overview
What Flux unlocks for a client, and where the day-to-day network workflows are documented.
Flux is the add-on that unlocks a client organization’s Network features. As a side effect, it also makes that client’s services eligible for your Commissions tracking.
What a client gets with Flux on#
Once you have enabled Flux for a client, their team gets access to:
- Circuit inventory tied to their locations.
- Master Sites, which share building-level facts across any of your clients in the same building. See Master Sites for how that sharing works and what it deliberately does not expose.
- Bidirectional bandwidth optimization tooling for adjusting circuit configuration.
On top of that, there are two metered add-ons you can additionally enable per client: Telemetry and Bandwidth-on-Demand. Both are covered in Enabling Flux and the metered add-ons.
Where the day-to-day steps are documented#
Day-to-day usage of the Network module (qualifying an address, ordering bandwidth, monitoring circuits) is a client-facing workflow, not an agency one. It is documented for your clients at the Vigilis Help Center, which covers the Network module from the client’s point of view.
Your side of Network is the enablement and billing: turning Flux on, turning the metered add-ons on, and tracking the resulting commissions.
Common questions#
A client asks how to qualify a new address. Where do I send them? Point them to the Vigilis Help Center. That is where their day-to-day Network steps live.
