Welcome
How Modero is structured, who these guides are for, and where your clients' documentation lives.
Modero is the platform telecom agencies use to manage their clients’ IT and telecom expenses and networks, under the agency’s own brand.
These guides are for agency staff: the partner admins, partner members, and read-only users who run an agency’s branded instance. If you manage your team, your clients’ organizations, your billing, or your CRM and Commissions workspaces, you are in the right place.
The three levels#
Almost every question about how Modero works becomes easier once this structure is clear.
Modero is the platform itself. Modero hosts the software, bills your agency, and provides the underlying infrastructure. You deal with Modero the way you deal with any vendor.
Your agency is called a partner in the platform’s terminology. You sign up, get your own branded instance, and manage a roster of client organizations. This is the level these guides are written for.
Your client organizations are the companies you serve. Each gets its own workspace inside your branded instance, where their team manages services, invoices, contracts, and, if you enable it, their network.
Money flows along the same three levels, and the two directions are independent of each other: Modero bills your agency (Your Modero subscription), and separately, your agency bills its clients (Billing your clients). Confusing the two is the single most common source of billing questions, so the guides keep them firmly apart.
Vigilis, the worked example#
Vigilis is a real, working branded instance. It is the founding agency Socium’s brand, and it appears throughout these guides whenever a concrete example is clearer than an abstract one.
When you see Vigilis named, read it as “what one agency’s instance looks like.” Your own instance carries your agency’s name, logo, and colors instead.
Your three workspaces#
Agency staff work across three places, reachable from the workspace switcher.
| Workspace | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Partner Hub | Your back office: team, clients, billing, branding, administration |
| CRM | Your sales pipeline: deals, quotes, companies, contacts |
| Commissions | Revenue validation: did the commission payments you are owed actually arrive? |
The Partner Hub is where you land after signing in, and it is the subject of most of these guides. See Touring the Partner Hub for the full map.
Where your clients’ documentation lives#
These guides are about running your agency. They do not cover your clients’ day-to-day experience: managing services, reviewing invoices, requesting network changes, and so on.
That is documented separately, for them, at the Vigilis Help Center. Point your clients there when they have product questions.
Where to start#
If your agency is brand new, read Getting started in order. It follows the actual sequence: sign up, tour the Hub, get your team in, then bring on your first client.
If you are joining an agency that is already running, Touring the Partner Hub and Team and roles will orient you fastest.
If something is broken right now, go straight to Troubleshooting, which is organized by symptom rather than by module.
