Rate sheets, formats, and payers
The reference data reconciliation checks against: your rates, your column mappings, and payer behavior.
The second group in the Commissions sidebar is Source of truth: three pages of reference data that the rest of the workspace reads from.
Reconciliation is only as good as the rates and mappings it compares against. If the rate is wrong, a correct payment looks like a gap and a short payment looks correct. This is the data to get right first, before you start working a queue.
Rate Sheets#
Your provider and distributor commission rates, by category. This is what “expected” means when a parsed line is checked against what was expected.
A service with no rate on file cannot be checked at all, which is why missing commission rates appear as their own item in the To-Do queue.
Formats#
Saved column mappings, per distributor. Every distributor lays its statement out differently, so each one gets a mapping that says which column holds what.
Once a distributor’s format is saved, their recurring reports parse automatically without you re-mapping every time. See Uploading commission reports.
Payers#
Per-payer settings, such as typical payment lag.
Payment lag is what makes “late” a meaningful judgment rather than a guess. A payer who normally pays well behind the period is not late simply because the money has not arrived yet, and recording that behavior here is how the workspace tells the two apart.
