Connecting your Stripe account

This section is about how your agency gets paid by your clients. It is entirely separate from what Modero charges your agency, which lives under Your Modero subscription. The two directions of money never touch each other, and mixing them up is the most common source of billing confusion.

Before you can bill a client directly, Modero needs to know where the money should land. That means connecting your agency’s own Stripe account.

Connecting#

1. Go to Partner Hub > Settings > Billing > Connect Stripe account.
2. Follow Stripe’s hosted onboarding flow. Stripe collects and verifies your business details directly, so none of it passes through Modero.
3. Return to Modero when Stripe hands you back.

You keep 100% of what your clients pay#

Once your Stripe account is connected, every payment your clients make goes to you. Modero takes no cut and applies no fee on top.

This is why the connection is yours rather than Modero’s: your clients pay into your Stripe account, not into a Modero account that later pays you out.

Onboarding has to be fully complete#

Stripe needs both charges and payouts enabled before the connection counts as complete. A partially finished onboarding flow is not enough. Until Stripe reports both, you cannot subscribe clients to org-paid plans.

Common questions#

Does Modero take a cut of what my clients pay me? No. Once you have connected your own Stripe account, 100% of client payments go to you.
